Colleen began her barre journey at the age of four with ballet and jazz and continued through high school.  She was a member of nationally ranked and competitive cheerleading squads throughout grade school and high school.  Colleen also became a stellar track and field athlete and earned numerous collegiate scholarships.  She eventually returned to cheerleading and dance and became a Professional Cheerleader and Coach.

Colleen opened The Barre Co. in 2014 and has taught barre for over 4 years. She taught wherever she could, including numerous dance studios, parks, and brewerys.

She eventually changed the name to Westside Barre.  After beating cancer for the second time, Colleen decided to open Westside Barre at her own location. Her goal is to strengthen, lengthen and train the body using the Barre technique. She loves to empower women and youth to be the best version of themselves. Today, Colleen maintains a healthy, active lifestyle with her husband and four children and is proud to bring the methods of Barre Intensity to others!

Meet Sara.png

Sara comes from an athletic background. She grew up spending all of her free time on a swim team and on the pitcher's mound with a bit of dance thrown in the mix through cheerleading. After college, she became an endurance athlete with a focus on triathlons. Sara decided to try barre in 2014, after experiencing some training related injuries. She added barre to her routine for cross-training and quickly became hooked! Sara has credited barre with helping her stay stronger in the later miles of races and also with keeping her injury-free. Sara enjoys pushing herself in races of all distances and enjoys making a killer playlist to go with the challenge. She is a two-time Ironman triathlete, a 9 time half-ironman finisher, and has completed 8 marathons.

When she's not at the barre, you can find her swimming, biking, or running, teaching history at Rocky River High School, or cheering on her two kids at various courts and fields all over Cleveland.

Lindsey has a strong background in dance that started when she was 3 years old.  She danced at the competitive level and continued studying dance through college.  She obtained her Elementary Education degree from Bowling Green State University and worked as fourth grade teacher for many years before starting her job with Scholastic. Currently, she works to internally train a group of over 100 Literacy Specialists all across the country.  Her passion to teach children, as well as adults, can be seen in her day-to-day work.  Lindsey is thrilled to bring that passion to Westside Barre as she expands her teaching to the studio. She completed her Barre Intensity workshop in 2019 and immediately started on her instructor certification.

In her free time, Lindsey can be found at the ice rink watching her son play hockey or in the dance studio with her daughter.  She enjoys vacationing with her family, going to dinner with friends, and finishing home projects with her husband.

Beth has a strong background rooted in dance and athletics.  She began her journey as a young child through ballet, jazz, and tap instruction. She continued her dance career in high school, and incorporated cheerleading into her active life.  She also played softball through high school.  Beth attended Xavier University and studied Early Childhood Education and coached high school cheerleading while in school.

Shortly after graduating college, she began her career as an elementary school teacher at Rocky River and has been there for 7 years. Beth then began teaching acrobatics and jazz classes at a local dance studio. She took her first barre class with Colleen in 2015 and completely fell in love with the practice.  Beth loves the creativity that barre classes allow for.  She believes that barre provides a total body workout while allowing people to be a part of a community that promotes positivity, confidence, and wellness. Beth recently received her Barre Instructor training certification and cannot wait to share her passion for barre with her students!
